MANILA, FEBRUARY 18, 2012 (MALAYA) ETHEL RAMOS ('Carmina added
that in all her 20 years in showbiz, she has never had any disagreements with
any of her colleagues.' )
THE report of her supposed walk-out when she reportedly could no longer stand
the demands – some of them silly, and mostly, at her expense –of Claudine
Barretto, while the two of them were shooting a commercial for a brand of milk
never bothered her, according to Carmina Villaroel.
In the first place, she said, the report simply is not true. Moreover, the
shoot for that commercial with her and Claudine as endorsers happened three
years ago.
"Kaya lang," Carmina further stated, "the writer made it appear new.
"At kaya marami ang nakabasa, sa isang kilalang broadsheet lumabas."
So, how would she describe her current relationship with Claudine?
"We are friends, although I would not say we are close to each other,"
Carmina replied.
Carmina added that in all her 20 years in showbiz, she has never had any
disagreements with any of her colleagues.
By the way, Carmina made this pronouncement last Saturday in her new show,
"Showbiz Insider Report," which she co-hosts with Joey Marquez, Ogie Diaz and
Janice de Belen.

Are Rita Avila and her husband, director Erick Reyes, considering adoption,
since they have remained childless in their nine years as husband and wife?
Although, of course, Rita gave birth to a baby boy five years ago.
The baby died three week after birth.
To our question Direk Erick, whose current directorial job is the
much-admired series, "E-Boy" (Electronic Boy), replied: "'Di pa naman kami
desperate to have our own child.
"Rita's obstetrician assured her she is still capable of getting pregnant as
her ovaries are still active.
"We are both ardently praying that our dream to have our own baby will be
realized one day soon," he further stated.

Billy Crawford will remain as one of the hosts of the new ABS CBN noontime
show, "It's Showtime," which started first week of February.
Billy said he was all set to leave for Europe, when he learned about the
show. ABS CBN management persuaded him to stay for sometime, so he could host
the show with Anne Curtis, Kim Atienza, Vhong Navarro, Karylle, Jhong Hilario
and Ryan Bang.
"I like the group," Billy admitted. "Kaya, sabi ko, sige, I will be part of
the show until April.
"Pumayag naman ang management."
Billy said he will be away for four months. By then, he thinks, he would know
if he is still welcome to resume his career in Europe.
Many years back, when Billy was still a teenager, he succeeded as a singer in
Europe. He enjoyed immense popularity, especially among the younger population,
until he decided to come back and try his luck here.
"Actually, na-miss ko na rin ang Pilipinas," he confessed. "I was doing it as
well for my mom. She is a Filipina."
Billy's dad is an American.
So, what happens to his relationship with Nikki Gil? They are an ideal
twosome.
"Kami pa rin," he replied. "It doesn't mean that because we are far from each
other, maapektuhan na ang aming relasyon.
"No wonder what, our love for each other will prevail."

Meanwhile, "It's Showtime" is getting to be both a delight to its audience,
both those inside the studio and inside their homes.
The show has a lot of segments which are all thrilling watch. Like "Sine Mo
'To," which thrives on spontaneity and allows members of the audience, randomly
chosen, to be given the spotlight.
Another segment is open to the audience to perform on-stage with the hosts.
This is "Akting Mo, Premyo Mo," which gives the audience the chance to win
prizes, depending, of course, on their performance.
In "Singing V," Vice challenges participants' knowledge of song lyrics.
Other segments are "Arte Mo" and "Rock Clock," which could win the contestant
as much as P500,000.
Teddy Corpuz, Jugs Jugueta, Coleen Garcia and Eric "Eruption" Tai are the new
additions to "It's Showtime."
