MANILA, AUGUST 18,
2012 (ABS-CBN) Juan Manuel Marquez has taken his animosity toward
Manny Pacquiao to a whole new level.
According to Boxing Scene, the Mexican counter punching specialist is coming
out with a book titled, "Yes, I beat you Pacquiao."
The book, which will be presented this weekend at an international book fair,
contains details of Marquez's controversial trilogy with the Filipino boxer.

The Mexican boxer also talks about portions of his career and the qualities
that made him one of the best fighters in the world.
"[This book is about] how I worked to achieve what I have achieved, with
character, courage, and the desire that must be there to get what you want,"
said Marquez.
"The book which I wrote, and obviously I was helped a little with editing,
was based on what I did and what I did to succeed. I speak of discipline,
responsibility, and to do so in a book is very important because it's a great
way for people to know a little bit more about me."
Marquez first fought Pacquiao to a draw in 2004. In that fight, he suffered
three first-round knockdowns before rallying in the later rounds.
In 2008, Pacquiao edged him with a split decision and took away his World
Boxing Federation (WBC) super featherweight title.
Their third fight, which took place last November, saw the Filipino boxer
winning by a controversial unanimous decision.
Marquez claimed he won in all their three bouts.
The Mexican toughie is now hoping he could get a fourth bout against Pacquiao
on November 10.

MANILA, Philippines – Juan Manuel Marquez has a fall back if he fails to get
a fourth face-off against Manny Pacquiao.
Marquez said he'll defend one of his titles by the end of 2012.
The Mexican counterpunching specialist owns the World Boxing Organization
(WBO) junior welterweight title aside from holding the WBO and World Boxing
Association (WBA) lightweight.
Before deciding, however, he wants to make sure that his promoter, Fernando
Beltran, has done his work in securing the Pacquiao fight.
"I hope to talk to him at any moment, either in person or by telephone to
find out who I'm going to fight," Marquez said in Boxing Scene. "But I haven't
received any news. I want to close the year out by defending one of my titles."

Marquez has not defended his lightweight titles for several months now after
concentrating on adding weight for the Pacquiao bout.
But he said he remains the lightweight king, unless the WBO and WBA say
otherwise.
"These [sanctioning bodies] have not informed me otherwise [that I'm not the
champion at 135], so I consider myself the lightweight champion of these
groups," Marquez said. "In the ring, nobody has taken the lightweight crown from
me."
Marquez has had 3 bouts against Pacquiao.
The first one, which ended in a draw, took place in 2004.
He also faced Pacquiao in 2008 and 2011 but lost in both occasions.
Roach: No thrill in 4th Pacquiao-Marquez

MANILA, Philippines – Boxing coach Freddie Roach said he prefers his prized
fighter Manny Pacquiao to face Timothy Bradley in a rematch, instead of having
him fight Juan Manuel Marquez for the fourth time.
"I'd like [him] to have a rematch with Bradley," the famed trainer told
Boxing Channel.
Roach said that from a fan's perspective, he sees a Pacquiao-Bradley rematch
more thrilling than another Marquez fight.
"I think every time they fight each other, it's less entertaining, they know
each other so well," he said. "Three times is enough for me."
He, however, admitted that the decision really lies on Pacquiao.
Roach stressed that his primary role is to prepare his fighter against
whoever he is facing.
"If Manny decides to go that way (Marquez fight), I'd do the best that I can
to prepare him for it," he said.
Pacquiao is still on vacation with his family in the US following his
controversial split-decision loss to Bradley last June.
Top Rank's Bob Arum earlier said he has already laid out the positives and
negatives of possible bouts against Bradley, Marquez, Miguel Cotto and even
Floyd Mayweather Jr.
But Arum said the Filipino champion didn't give him a clue regarding his
choice of opponent.
"He kept a true poker face," said Arum. "I explained to him everything that
is going on and what we thought, but he didn't give anything away. He just
listened and took it all in."
