SID LUCERO A 'SHOULDER TO CRY ON' FOR HEART

By MAUREEN MARIE BELMONTE - Sid Lucero is adamant that he and Heart
Evangelista are just "good friends."
Contrary to rumors about them warming up to each other, the former explained
that they haven't gone beyond the boundaries of friendship just yet.
"We're really good friends, yeah," Lucero said in a taped interview with
"Unang Hirit" aired Thursday.
He maintained that to some extent, they have found comfort around each other
knowing that they have gone through similar ordeals lately. Recall that the two
Kapuso talents both just came off from a relationship; Evangelista with her
Brapanese model Daniel Matsunaga, and Lucero with his non-showbiz beau.
"That's what made us close to each other eh. 'Yun nga 'shoulder to cry on'
and all that," he explained.
Although Lucero confessed in an earlier report to being in awe of
Evangelista's acting prowess and her beauty, that doesn't equate to him wanting
to have a relationship with the 27-year-old actress.
"I just came off from a relationship, I'm not ready for anything," said the
award-winning actor in the "UH" report.
Recall that Evangelista in a recent Bulletin Entertainment report already
denied any brewing romance with her "Legacy" leading man. She likewise refuted
rumors saying that Lucero was the third wheel that caused her breakup with
Matsunaga.
"It's not like that. Hindi talaga siya gano'n," said Evangelista.
She admitted, though, that they "hang out on friendly dates" every now and
then.
"Sid and I are very close. We're really close friends. We do hangout, yes,
that's true but it has nothing to do with my relationship with Daniel. 'Pag
nagmahal ako… grabe ako magmahal. I gave a hundred percent. I exert all effort
talaga into the relationship so it has nothing to do with that," she
clarified.
