ATE VI AFRAID OF BOTOX.... MORE STAR

GOV. VILMA Santos (photo) confirms she has an offer from Cannes
Filmfest best director Dante Mendoza to do an indie film. It would reunite her
with Nora Aunor.
The last movie she did with Guy was "T-Bird at Ako" directed by Danny
Zialcita in 1982. Guy has already completed a film with Dante, "Sa Iyong
Sinapupunan" ("Thy Womb"), which has been entered in the coming December Metro
filmfest.
We foresee a problem here, though. Dante does not have any script when he
shoots a film. With Guy, this is just fine. But with Gov. Vi, her primary
requirement is that she gets to read the script first and she'll only do a
project if she likes the script. As it is, we know another writer-director has
submitted a script to Gov. Vi but she didn't like it. So if Dante is serious in
getting her, then he'd better do his script first and send it to the Batangas
governor for whom time is gold as she's now busy with her H.E.A.R.T.S. (Health,
Education-Environment, Agriculture, Roads-Infrastructure, Technology, Science)
projects.
When Gov. Vi was called on stage at the Generics Pharmacy launch, everyone
was so quiet you can hear a pin drop. "Good afternoon po," greeted Ate Vi. No
one responded so she said: "Hello, good afternoon po. Bakit ang tahimik nyo?"

We told her everyone got tongue tied when she appeared on stage, seemingly
mesmerized by her charismatic presence. She laughed and greeted everyone again.
This time, everyone responded with gusto. Later on, she joined our table and we
asked her if, like Edu Manzano, she's also against their son Luis' joining
politics. "It's not for me to decide," she says. "Na kay Luis 'yun. He's of age.
Whatever his decision might be, I'll respect it."
Is it true she's now looking for a church in Batangas where Luis can have his
wedding with Jennylyn Mercado?
"Ay, hindi po ako 'yun. Hinding-hindi ako makikikalam sa ganyang bagay at
personal na buhay 'yan ng anak ko."
Many celebs and politicians are resorting to stem cell therapy as they age,
the latest being Manay Lolit Solis. Will she all do it?
"Ay, takot ako sa ganyan. Titingnan ko muna ang epekto sa iba, how safe it
is. Kasi maski 'yung botox nga, ayoko, dahil sa katagalan, may side effects
'yan. Ako, I just exercise everyday, kahit na 20 minutes of Zumba, basta pawisan
ako ng husto, then I do sauna. Masarap tulog ko and when I wake up, you don't
feel bloated."
Stem cell is said to enhance one's sex life. "Ay, kung 'yun lang, hindi ko pa
kailangan nun," she laughs.

The press people who saw Wynwyn Marquez (photo) sashay on the
ramp in her elegant black gown at the presscon of "One True Love" all agree that
she's perfect beauty queen material. The dusky 5'7" beauty who's already a
college graduate also has a great stage presence.
"I'd really want to join a beauty pageant kaya lang tuloy-tuloy ang projects
ko," she says.
Wynwyn is glad to be part of "One True Love" as this is the first time she'll
be seen on primetime. Prior to this, she was in "Blusang Itim," "Hiram na Puso"
and "Party Pilipinas," all daytime shows.
She plays villain to Louise de los Reyes in "One True Love." "We have a scene
where I'm supposed to slap her," she says. "Nag-alangan ako kasi I'm an athlete
(she plays volleyball) at malakas akong manampal. It's good, game si Louise at
siya pa ang nagsabi sa'king totohanin ko para ma-feel niya talaga."
Just like her Kuya Mark Anthony Fernandez, she doesn't object to their mom
Alma Moreno's running in the senate. "We know may mga nanlalait sa kanya. It's
because they don't know she really prepared for it. Very determined siya and a
lot of people promise to help her so we're all willing to support her."
Wynwyn has five half-siblings on her mom's side and 14 siblings on the side
of her dad Joey Marquez. "We all know each other."

What do Manny Pacquiao and Anne Curtis have in common?

According to ABS-CBN North America News Bureau, the eight-time world boxing
champion will start filming after the Pacquiao-Bradley fight.
They're both making a Hollywood movie. This is why it's said that the
"Pambansang Kamao" won't be coming home to Manila right away, because of his
commitment to shoot "Brass Knuckles."
Also, being a devoted Christian now, he wants to visit the Holy Land. But his
wife Jinkee will have to return to Manila right away as her own and first TV
talk show, "Love Life," will start soon with Paris Hilton as one of her special
guests. We truly wish that Jinkee will be well equipped to be a credible and
effective talk show host.

Media people ate lots of "patola" and made "patol" to Dionisia Pacquiao,
whose dubious career is now being revived just because she fainted after her son
Manny lost to Timothy Bradley.
They're even making patol to Mommy Dioning's nonsense declarations that she'd
accompany Manny in his rematch with Bradley "at tatabihan ko 'yung scorer.
Grabe."
She also said she didn't faint. "Nahilo lang ako kasi sobrang init doon sa
playroom nina Manny. Mainit talaga. Grabe'ng pawis ko. Sabi nila, nahimatay ako.
Hindi naman. Nahilo lang ako."
And so, Mother Pacman gets to renew her 15-minutes of fame once again.

Ogie Alcasid admits to being a workaholic. He now has four regular TV
shows: "Party Pilipinas," "Bubble Gang," "Pare & Pare" and the new 6 p.m.
fantasy series, "Daddy Dearest," that airs weeknights.
"Buti nga, showing na ang 'Boy Pick Up' and I want to thank all the viewers
who made it a success at the box office," he says. "At least, isang movie na
lang ang sinu-shoot ko ngayon, 'I Do Bidubidoo.' After that, may offer akong
another movie pero 'di ko na tinanggap as I want to give more time naman to my
family. Six months na ang baby naming si Nate at nakikipag-relate na sa amin so
gusto ko naman siyang makasama ng mas matagal. Hopefully, by September, tapos na
itong 'Daddy Dearest' dahil we'll meet nina Regine at Nate ang daughters ko from
Australia, Sarah and Leila, sa Singapore for a vacation there. But I'm so
thankful to my wife kasi siya talaga ang nagpupuno ng oras ko sa anak namin when
I'm out working. She's so supportive kaya I can really say she's a perfect wife
and mother."
Regine can devote all her time now to Nate as she's not working, but what if
she'd make a comeback and also gets busy?
"Pag-uusapan namin 'yang mabuti. As of now, pumayat na siya ng kaunti, about
10 lbs. Gusto niya, mas pumayat pa siya. Hindi naman puedeng biglain 'yan, dapat
dahan-dahan, so she's taking her time."
How's it playing the role of a man who becomes a woman in "Daddy Dearest"?

"It's not a joke. Matagal kasi akong ayusan kapag naging babae na ako.
Matagal magbihis, mag-make up at ayusan ng buhok. And I have to be reminded all
the time na girl ako para consistent ang performance ko."

KC Concepcion has long been absent on the scene after the Piolo
Pascual debacle. So we're glad she'd soon be visible in two new shows: "The X
Factor" which she'll be hosting and the soap "Against All Odds" where she'll be
acting with Judy Ann Santos and Sam Milby. This proves that earlier rumors that
she'd be moving to TV5 to join her megamom Sharon Cuneta simply aren't true and
she's staying put with ABS-CBN.
About her love life, KC admits she now has a new non-showbiz suitor who makes
life interesting for her. But she's not about ready to commit yet as she'd like
to devote more of her time and attention to her new projects first.
With her in "X Factor" are Pilita Corrales, Martin Nievera, Gary Valenciano
and Charice as the judges.
