TV personality Grace Lee said she is happy with the current state of her
relationship President Aquino.
Lee, who is rumored to have stopped dating the president, on Wednesday said
she hopes to stay friends with the country's bachelor-leader.
"I haven't really given it much thought yet," Lee said, when asked how she
feels about the relationship.
"I'm very, very happy," she told ABS-CBN News when asked about being friends
with Aquino. "Yes [we're friends], hopefully [it will stay that way]."
Lee said she continues to appreciate Aquino for being a gentleman and being
protective of her whenever he is made to comment on his personal life.
"You know, from the very beginning until very recently, every comment he's
made about his private life is [about] me," Lee said.
"He's always been a gentleman, so I really appreciate na he always tries to
protect me. So I think it really shows the kind of man that he is, the way he
has been, how he has stepped out of his comfort zone to talk about his private
life, for me," Lee said.
Aquino recently commented on the status of his relationship with Lee
following reports that they have stopped "seeing each other."
His short answer: "We're friends."

They were last seen together in Sergio Mendez' concert at the
Smart-Araneta Coliseum on April 24 sharing sweet whispers and glances in the
presence of Aquino sisters Ballsy Cruz, Viel Dee and Pinky Abellada.
But now, everything seems to be a little bit different. President Benigno
"Noynoy" Aquino III was seen going out alone, without the presence of any girl,
moreso, his beloved (?) Grace Lee.
Is it true that First Girlfriend and TV-Radio personality Grace Lee and
President Benigno "Noynoy" Aquino III already called it quits (despite the fact
that they have not yet publicly admitted their relationship)?
The rumor first came out in a news article titled "P-Noy alone
again?" written by Aurea Calica and posted on Philippine Star on Wednesday, May
9.
Then TV Patrol reporter Marie Lozano seconded the news in her TV Patrol
segment that same night saying the President, during his trip in Negros
Occidental on Saturday, May 5, dropped a very intriguing statement "Dalawa ho
ang bumihag sa puso natin noon dito, e. Baka ho sa pangatlo suwertehin na ako."
Followed by: "Noong nakaraang kampanya na nandito ako, sinabi ko sa inyo na
maraming magagandang babae dito sa Pangasinan. Pero ngayon, mas dumami pa ang
magagandang binibini," in his Pangasinan trip on May 7, which could be treated
as indirect confirmation to the news.
When asked about the rumor, Lee, who is known to be so open about his affair
with Aquino, has only this to say:
With regards to the headline, I think you should ask him, not me.
"I was hurt with a lot of articles that were written about me, which are
lies and just vicious, 'no. "So, after that, I just stopped reading
newspapers."

Noynoy suddenly turns very vocal about his love life. The President who used
to be tight-lipped about his private life gave away the latest on his love life
this time around. He confirmed that he and Grace Lee are seeing each other.
Grace Lee looks like a good catch for she is beautiful, smart and young. And
it looks like Grace Lee likes the President. In an interview, Grace Lee says " I
don't think I'm gonna waste my time spending hours of my day trying to know a
man if I was not interested at all." She even said, " He is a wonderful
person.....he is brilliant, if not the most intelligent man I've ever met in my
life."
Many are happy to know the President is likely to have a new love of her life
once again. But just as many have positive reactions there are also those who
reacted negatively saying these things:
1) " Noynoy is not the type who really wants to marry. If he is, then why at
51 he is still single"Grace Lee will only be just another Shalani in his life".
2). There is something wrong with a man who is already at 50's and still
single so Grace Lee should think wisely before committing herself to him lest
she regret this for the rest of her life."
3) "Could this be because he wants the world to know he is not lonely and
blue even if his ex Shalani has settled with the new love of her own? He must be
just using Grace Lee to boost his ego."
4) " Grace Lee will only use the President for her own favor. She is a Korean
working in the Philippines and having the very President of the Philippines as
her stronghold then she is the most secured person ever."
5) "Grace Lee is just overwhelmed by the big attention she is now getting.
She can't be truly in love with Noynoy. She is too young for him.. she must be
just blinded by the President's position"
6) Very unlikely pair!. They look like a father and daughter loveteam."
Reactions differ here and there but whatever the reactions of the people
around, it is Noynoy and Grace 's life so we might just as well leave them
alone. All is fair in love and in war so if they really are in love,. then let
them be happy. Now if the love isn't really true and for some other reasons then
they are accountable to whatever consequences. Meanwhile, let us just wish them
all the best.

Former radio DJ Grace Lee will be seen regularly on GMA-7 starting May 28,
2012.
Grace, who was romantically linked to President Noynoy Aquino,
attended a press conference earlier today, May 24, held at the San Miguel
Corporation office in Ortigas.
The Korean TV host is thankful to be part of Cooking with the Stars. This is
Grace's second time to host a cooking show after being part of Eateria, an
innovative cooking show that combines food, cooking and travel. It was broadcast
starting November 2009 and used to air every Sunday morning on GMA-7.
Grace was chosen not only for her hosting skills but also because she
completed a course in culinary arts under Chef Rob Pengson in the Global
Academy. Guests on the show include celebrity moms namely Camille Prats,
Angelika Dela Cruz, Christine Jacob, Suzi Entrata-Abrera, and Candy
Pangilinan.Kapuso stars Heart Evangelista, Carla Abellana and Jolina Magdangal
are also part of the show's lineup.
Every episode will feature a celebrity who has a food-related dilemma, and at
the end of the program, the resident chefs will offer solutions on how to solve
the problem.
Another twist to the show is "Cooking Star of the Barangay," where the show
will visit barangays, bringing with them a live brass band and dancing food
servers.
Grace admits: "Cooking is very therapeutic especially when you smash the
garlic. Because when I'm mad, I just smash the garlic. At least from there, I
can cook good food."
The TV host also revealed: "I love feeding people."
DREAM CELEBRITY GUEST. When Grace was asked to name her dream celebrity guest
on the show, she quickly answered Senator Miriam Defensor Santiago. "I want to
calm her with good food," she explained. Grace plans to cook beef stew as well
as Korean staples chapchae and bulgogi if the said politician does accept her
invite.
During the presscon, Grace was also given a list of celebrities and she was
asked to name a particular dish that best represents that person.

Jillian Ward: "Chocolate ice cream…Sakto kasi di ba sa Luna Blanca?"

President Noynoy Aquino: "Cheese fondue.. simple but deep, interesting."
Kris Aquino: "Carbonara…what you see what you get, simple yet elegant."
Grace Lee: "Myself? Spaghetti, you can do so much about it."
Cooking with the Stars will be a thematic weekly show hosted by Grace Lee.
She will be joined by top chefs who aim to solve the kitchen dilemmas of
viewers. Chef Maricel Manalo will focus on kid-friendly meals, Chef Martin del
Prado will teach viewers how to cook food fit for one's barkada, Rene Cruz will
specialize in viands for a fiesta while Kai Verdadero will offer recipes for
delicious and healthy food.
This show will be taped at the San Miguel Purefoods Culinary Center and will
start airing on May 28, 2012. It will air every Monday, Wednesday and Friday at
9:55 am to 10:05 am on GMA-7with replays on GMA News TV every Tuesday and
Thursday (7:00-7:10 pm) and Saturday at 6:45 pm to 6:55 pm.
