CLAUDINE BARRETTO, JOLINA MAGDANGAL WORKS TOGETHER ON A FANTASERYE
MANILA, JULY 27, 2011 (MALAYA) ETHEL RAMOS ('Both a Kapuso stars now, Claudine and Jolina are working together for the first time in 'Iglot,' a fantasy series.')
FOR many years, Claudine Barretto and Jolina Magdangal were both under contract with ABS-CBN. But surprisingly, they never got a chance to work together in a project even with Star Cinema – the film arm of the Kapamilya network.
ABS-CBN helped them find their own "niche" in the world of show business. Claudine as a drama actress, Jolina as a singer and dancer.
Both Kapuso stars now, Claudine and Jolina are working together for the first time in a TV series entitled "Iglot," which according to a GMA-7 insider, is a fantasy series.
Supporting Claudine and Jolina in the fantaserye is former Kapamilya star like them, Marvin Agustin.

If her plans push through, Claudine will surely be busy doing a movie with her elder sister Gretchen Barretto later this year.
It will be first time for the sisters to do a movie together. The film is a pending project of ABS-CBN that didn't push through due to Claudine's sudden decision to sign up with GMA-7.
However, it was reported that Mother Lily Monteverde of Regal Films will now produce the movie.
A former Regal Baby, Gretchen was very happy to find out that she's going to work with Mother Lily again.
Claudine, on the other hand, was reportedly eager doing it since it will be her first with Mother Lily.
For a while, Claudine and Gretchen were not on speaking terms. But they recently reconciled and became closer now than ever before.

Like Claudine, Jolina herself is also busy. However, she's busy not because of "Iglot" but she's busy preparing for her upcoming wedding with her fiancé, Mark Escueta.
"Ayaw na nilang hintayin pa ang 2011 para magpakasal sila," a close friend of Jolina said. "Kung sabagay, why wait if they could get married this year."
"Love talaga nila ang isa't isa at pareho na rin silang nasa tamang edad."
The two has reportedly finished their entourage list – both major and secondary sponsors.
And guess who was among their secondary sponsors? It's Marvin Agustin – the favorite leading man of Jolina, who was also romantically linked to her before.
"Marvin and I have remained good friends until now. We are both happy sa mga nangyayari sa aming buhay," Jolina said.
Although there is no woman in particular that is currently being linked to him, Marvin said he enjoys being a single father to his five-year old twin boys – with Tetet Dy of the Dy clan of Isabela.

Also a single dad is former Kapamilya young actor, Patrick Garcia.
Like Marvin, Jolina and Claudine, Patrick is now a Kapuso star.
It was during his first year with GMA-7, when Patrick fell in love with Jennylyn Mercado.
Jennylyn got pregnant by Patrick, who, reportedly, distanced himself upon learning about the pregnancy.
The actress gave birth to a baby boy and called him Alex Jazz. The boy will turn three on October. He, of course, lives with Jennylyn.
But Jennylyn allows Patrick to "borrow" their child anytime he wants to. That's why Alex Jazz is also close to his father's family.
Unlike Patrick who has remained single until now, Jennylyn went public with her current romance with Kapamilya actor, Luis Manzano. And we overheard her saying that she feels lucky to have Luis besides her.
According to Mom Lydia, Jennylyn's adoptive mother, Luis is not only "good and gentle" with Jennylyn but also to her son.
After Patrick, Jennylyn went steady with Dennis Trillo. But after almost a year of being together, they called it quits.
