TV5 ROLLS OUT RED CARPET FOR AGA

MANILA, APRIL 18, 2011 (MALAYA) KAPATID Network is overjoyed to be welcoming one of the most awarded matinee idols of Philippine show business. Aga Muhlach recently signed a three-year contract with TV5 to join the network's growing stable of well-known stars who have outstanding track records in the industry.

A very trim and youthful Aga faced the press looking recharged. The actor confessed to being very excited to start work on TV5, where he is expected to star in three shows, including a reality show unlike anything he's done before.

Aga maintained that he remains grateful to ABS-CBN, where he worked for close to two decades. "First thing, I don't want to do is say anything bad about ABS," he cleared. What prompted his move, he stressed, was the "direction" that TV5 was taking.

"Parang iba lang ang plano, iba ang direksyon nung kabila. With TV5's direction, they listen first. Feeling ko 'yun ang tama," he said.

Right now, the actor is wrapping up with on his movie with Angel Locsin under Star Cinema, sister film outfit of ABS-CBN, and he said he is ready to promote in his former home.

TV5 Entertainment Production head Perci Intalan said the network is very proud to welcome Aga. "One thing is it was a very big decision with Aga with all the years he had with ABS-CBN. It's been a big leap of faith so we want to make him feel it's a big deal because we know it's a big step for him."

Truly becoming the home of the best and the brightest talents, TV5 is deemed as the fastest rising network offering innovative programming that sets industry trends and changes the Philippine broadcast landscape.

With a big name such as Aga Muhlach on board, TV5 is well on its way to making bigger programs that will continue the network's winning streak in the ratings game.

"We are excited to start working with Aga because we have great plans for him. We're planning to do a series for him, give him a hosting job for a game show, and another program that's totally different from what he does," said Intalan.
