MEGA CONCERT: GARY V, CHARICE OPEN 2011 CONCERT SCENE W/ `1@11`

MANILA, JANUARY 6, 2011 (BULLETIN) By JOJO P. PANALIGAN - Only a few days into the new year yet music lovers are already being treated to a mega-concert headlined by no less than Gary Valenciano and Charice at the SM Mall of Asia Concert Grounds on Jan. 8.
"Charice is ready to do this kind of concert while I consider the collaboration, a feather in my cap," Gary said during the press conference for the concert "1@11" that's produced by perfume businessman Joel Cruz.
Charice may have been abroad during the holidays but it doesn't mean she will come unprepared to the concert. According to Gary, his management team and her managers are in constant communication to arrive at a true collaboration between the artists despite the distance.
"And she's not just a singer but an excellent performer," Gary pointed out. "I have confidence that she would not have agreed to do this show if she knew that she could not come up to the standards she has put upon herself as an international artist, who represents the Philippines in ways other artists can only dream of [doing]," he said.
Gary admires the "Pyramid" singer not only for her pipes but for her groove. He recalls getting blown away watching Charice perform her upbeat song, "Reset," on "ASAP XV."
"She can dance and she can really move. Nakakapag-rap pa nga siya. We're only seeing the tip of the iceberg of her talents" he lauded.
According to the release, Gary and Charice will launch their new individual scents during the concert. The scents were created especially for the two stars by Aficionado Germany Perfumes and Joel Cruz Signatures. .
Charice will have three variants of patented scents manufactured for her namely "Charice Perfume for Women," "Charice Unisex Perfume," and a men's cologne. Gary, on the other hand, has two variants aptly called "Gary Valenciano for Aficionado" both for men and women.
Also featured in "1@11" is actor John Lloyd Cruz, who remains the strongest endorser of the Joel Cruz Signatures line; Jason Abalos; Erich Gonzales; Ronnie Liang; Pauleen Luna; Ejay Flacon; Xyriel and Bugoy; the UST Symphony Orchestra and the Coro Tomasino; Gabriel Valenciano; and Kamikaze.
