MAKATI MAYOR JUNJUN BINAY ADMITS MEETING UP WITH KRIS

MANILA, NOVEMBER 21, 2010 (MANILA BULLETIN) Makati Mayor Junjun Binay admits that he has met up again with presidential sister Kris Aquino recently, this amid widespread speculation that he is courting her.
As much as many would have wanted for the said "meeting" to have been a metaphor of sorts for "romantic date," it wasn't so.
In an interview with "Tweetbiz," Binay insisted that the meeting, which happened during a public event, was purely "accidental." He even detailed that he and Aquino hardly spoke during that meeting as it only lasted several minutes.
To end further speculation, the young mayor ultimately said, "If you really want to ask about Kris, we're just friends. Magkaibigan talaga kami."
Binay (photo) said he hardly communicates with Aquino if at all. He maintains that he is yet to find a "special someone."
Binay is a widower. His wife died a year ago succumbing to cardiac arrest and massive bleeding a few hours after prematurely giving birth to their fourth child.
Aquino separated from her husband, basketball player James Yap early this year.
Binay and Aquino got caught in a whirlwind of controversy after having been sighted in a mall together a few months ago.
It didn't help matters any when the loquacious Aquino revealed thereafter that Binay supposedly possesses everything she wants in a man. She also admitted that Binay had been generous with his support during the early months of her severance with Yap.
