CHARICE VOWS FOR 'GLEE' RETURN
MANILA, NOVEMBER 4, 2010 (BULLETIN) By KAYE VILLAGOMEZ - International Pinay divette of the moment Charice Pempengco promised Filipino fans that her character Sunshine Corazon, the rival belter of lead character Rachelle Berry, will soon be seen on "Glee" anew.
"I just cannot reveal which episode but fans will be seeing me back on the second season of the show," the "Pyramid" hitmaker disclosed to TV media over the weekend.
While the Billboard artist wanted to reveal more, Charice said can't preempt the phenomenal TV musical show. "I just can't say when," she said via "Showbiz Central."
What Charice guaranteed is a pending TV shoot for the top-rating series. Now back in Manila after a concert tour with David Foster, Charice will resume her Hollywood TV conquest by taping again for "Glee" in about two weeks.
"I will in fact be going back to the US to shoot for 'Glee,' it's just that I can't tell when my character will air again," she said.
Charice just recovered from food poisoning which she suffered in the morning of the press conference for her Singapore concert held with David Foster, Natalie Cole, Ruben Studdard and Peter Cetera.
"I don't normally eat sushi but I did anyway," she pointed out the cause of her hospitalization in Singapore. Thanking her supporters for the concern and prayers, the Billboard chart-topping singer told fans need not worry about her health anymore.
But Charice was not the only one who suffered from food poisoning. Most members of the touring group also did. A day before the show, Twitter posts on Saturday, Oct. 30 related that Charice might not be able to perform. Reports that the concert has been canceled also surfaced.
But the show went on even better as planned, said the singer. "It was the last Asian stop in the tour and everybody thought we did our best performance during the Singapore show," Charice said in Filipino.
Bulletin Entertainment previously reported that Charice will not be back on the show until after some episodes. Charice was first and last seen on "Glee" in the season two pilot.
