AUGUST 11, 2012 (ABS-CBN) Actor
Robin Padilla is the leading man in ABS-CBN's newest series "Kailangan Ko'y
Ikaw," which stars Anne Curtis and Queen of All Media Kris Aquino.
Also joining the cast is ABS-CBN child star Xyriel Manabat, who wowed viewers
in the highly rated "100 Days to Heaven."
Based on information obtained by abs-cbnnews.com, the lead stars will have a
story meeting on Thursday.
An excited Aquino hinted on "The Buzz" in December that her new soap would
star an actor with the initials "RP" but said she couldn't identify the actor as
yet.
Padilla and Aquino last worked together in the noontime show, "Pilipinas Win
na Win."
In a previous interview, Aquino also shared her excitement about working with
Curtis.
"Anne Curtis and I will definitely do our teleserye in 2012. I'm so excited
about that," she said.
Aquino added that part of her preparation for the series is to be fit and
healthy.
As a bit of trivia: Padilla already did a movie entitled "Kailangan Ko'y
Ikaw." In the movie, which was released in 2000, Padilla played a car mechanic
who falls in love with a popular singer played by Regine Velasquez.

MANILA, Philippines -- Star cager James Yap is making overtures to
his former wife Kris Aquino, asking a teammate to tell the actress-host that he
still thinks of her.
In an interview with morming show KrisTV on Tuesday, Yap's teammate Marc
Pingris, who guested in the show with wife Danica Sotto, said Yap misses Aquino,
with whom he has a son James Yap Jr., or more known as Bimby.
"Sinabi niya kasi kanina sa praktis na sabihin mo sa kanya (Aquino) na
natutulala siya minsan. 'Bakit kako?' Eh iniisip ka daw niya," Pingris said.
For her part, Aquino said she's just happy that after their annulment she and
Yap continue to be good friends and are not fighting anymore.
"He can come to the house anytime he wants to see the kids. And ako maluwag
ako na anytime they want to go.
Sinasabihan ko pa nga si Bimby na 'Holy Week, let's divide it up to Holy
Thursday, you'll be with me, tapos Thursday, Friday, Saturday, you try being
with Papa kasi he's a guy and you have to be with guys.' Sabi niya, 'No mama,
you will gonna die.' Pero sabi ko, 'No (I won't die) you can go.'"
"I think may mga tao talaga na kapag mahaba na ang pinagdaanan niyo and after
all that has been said and done, you can be friends and I think 'yun kami ngayon
and okay na kaming ganyan. At least ngayon [we're] nice to each other," Aquino
added.
Yap married Aquino in 2005.
Currently, Yap is being romantically linked to actress Isabel Oli, while
Aquino is busy with her upcoming projects, including the television series
"Kailangan Ko'y Ikaw" with Anne Curtis and Robin Padilla.
