MANILA, JULY 9, 2012 (ABS-CBN) After a year of being engaged,
former beauty queen Precious Lara Quigaman and actor Marco Alcaraz tied the knot
at Hacienda Isabella in Tagaytay City on Sunday afternoon.
The solemn ceromony, which was exclusively covered by "The Buzz," was
attended by the couple's close family and friends within and outside the
entertainment industry.
Contrary to the traditional white bridal gowns, Quigaman wore a beige gown
created by fashion designer Veejay Floresca.
Celebrities including Gerald Anderson, Maja Salvador, Valery Concepcion,
Jason Abalos, Carlene Aguilar and Paolo Paraiso were part of the entourage.
Actor Luis Alandi was Alcaraz's best man.
Among the principal sponsors were former Senator Juan Miguel Zubiri and
ABS-CBN channel head Cory Vidanes.
Quigaman walked down the aisle, which was created over a swimming pool, to a
rendition Rascal Flatt's "Bless The Broken Road."
In an interview with "The Buzz" before the wedding, Alcaraz said he was
nervous and excited at the same time now that he's finally marrying the love of
his life.
"Excited at the same time kinakabahan in a good way din naman. Sana people
will pray for a good weather ngayon and sana pray na habambuhay kami magmahalan
ni Lara," he said.
Alcaraz revealed he and Quigaman were both hands-on in their wedding
preparations.

MANILA, Philippines - It's a boy for Marco Alcaraz and Precious Lara
Quigaman who got married in Christian ceremony yesterday in Hacienda Isabella in
Indang, Cavite.
The good news was announced by the teary-eyed bride during the reception.
Precious' four-month pregnancy could hardly be hidden by her gown designed by
Veejay Floresca.
That must be the reason why the couple moved their wedding from October to
July, aside from accommodating Precious' relatives vacationing here from abroad.

For beauty queen and TV host Precious Lara Quigaman (photo),
her fiance, actor Marco Alcaraz, came into her life at a "perfect time."

problems with her previous relationship, which eventually turned sour.
"'Yung past relationship ko kasi bago si Marco hindi naging maganda, and
sobrang nagpe-pray ako na kahit nandoon pa ako sa relationship na 'yon na ayoko
na ng ganito," Quigaman said an interview with "Bandila" anchor Boy Abunda.
The 2005 Miss International titleholder shared that even before they
officially became a couple, she had felt Alcaraz was the answer to her prayers.

"'Nung dumating si Marco sa buhay ko, sobrang perfect timing na alam ko na
talaga, kahit nanliligaw palang siya -- iba na 'to, siya 'yung sagot ni Lord sa
prayer ko. He is more than I asked for," Quigaman said.
First meeting
Quigaman said she did not know that Alcaraz would be the answer to her
prayers when they first met through their mutual friend, Valerie Concepcion, in
2007.
"'Nung pinakilala sa'kin siya ni Valerie nung nagwa-'Wowowee' pa kami, 'di ko
nga siya kilala, 'di ko nga alam na artista siya. Kasi lumaki po ako sa Bahrain,
sa UK, so 'di po ako nakakapanood talaga. So wala akong idea kung sino si Marco
Alcaraz," she said.
"'Nung time na 'yon, meron din akong boyfriend, pero tini-text-text niya ako,
nagpapa-cute, pero never ko naisip na magiging kami," Quigaman added.
With only a few days before their wedding day on July 8, Quigaman can't help
but feel grateful for having Alcaraz in her life.
"I prayed for Marco talaga, for everything na nangyari, sobra. Kaya kung
titingnan niyo 'yung invitation, nakalagay, 'An answered prayer he is to me,'
tapos sa kanya, 'The biggest blessing she'll always be,'" she said.
