MANILA, JULY 23, 2012 (ABS-CBN) "American Idol" season 11
finalists Jessica Sanchez and DeAndre Brackensick are now a couple, Brackensick
said in his official Twitter account on Friday.
The 17-year-old Brackensick said he and the 16-year-old Sanchez are
"officially dating."
Brankensick later tweeted that Sanchez is his girlfriend.
Sanchez was cryptic at first, saying she has a "secret" not related to her
career as a singer.
She later confirmed that she is referring to Brackensick, the Idol finalist
from San Jose, California.
Both finalists, however, did not mention when they officially started a
relationship.
Brankensick, who sang "It Doesn't Matter Anymore" with Sanchez and Candice
Glover, was eliminated third from the 10 Idol finalists.
The Filipina-Mexican-American Sanchez, on the other hand, finished as a
runner-up to Idol winner Phillip Phillips.

MANILA, Philippines – A year after her controversial breakup with hunk actor
Piolo Pascual, actress-host KC Concepcion said she is happy and open to entering
into a new relationship.
But getting there was not easy, said Concepcion, who had a hard time getting
along with men after calling it quits with Pascual.
"There was a time na sobra talaga akong natatakot na ma-in love ulit," she
explained in an episode of "Kris TV," where she showed viewers her spacious
condominium unit in Taguig City.
"Ang tagal kong mag-open up sa guys na parang lagi ko na lang friend nang
friend lang, pero 'pag medyo nararamdaman ko na na masugi [manligaw] inaaway ko
talaga na 'I'm not ready, I'm working and it's not the time. I don't want to
think about it.'"
"And doon ko nakita kung sino 'yung nagsta-stay na guy," she added.
When asked by "Kris TV" host Kris Aquino about the men who "stayed" with her,
Concepcion replied: "Dalawa, pero may isa kasi na parang kahit anong gawin ko to
push him away, to the point na gumagawa na talaga ako ng excuse, andun pa rin."
The men
Concepcion refused to name the two men in her life, who are both not from
show business.
She said one of them is a foreigner. "Hindi siya Pinoy. He's pure-something
else. But he loves the [Filipino] culture," she said.
"He has never been here. Ayoko pa siyang papuntahin."
The other man, according to Concepcion, is half-Filipino. "'Yung isa, half
siya, pero mas friend siya ngayon. Tumira siya sa ibang bansa for a while."
Asked if she used to date actor Sam Milby, the actress-host said: "Hindi.
Ayoko na ng showbiz, natuto na ako."
Optimistic
Concepcion said she is satisfied with how things are going with her life, and
believes that she now knows what she wants in her next relationship.
She added that she does not regret experiencing heartbreak which, she said,
is what makes a woman more beautiful.
"I'm very optimistic. I think it makes a woman more beautiful 'pag nasaktan
and natuto talaga ako mag-rise above, mag-move on. At mas nakilala ko ang sarili
ko, kung ano ang gusto ko at ayaw ko in my next relationship," Concepcion said.
"So kung dati parang patient ako, na tino-tolerate ko lang lahat, na 'okay
lang, magbabago 'yan,' ngayon mas alam ko na 'yung gusto ko.
"At saka I would go for bad boys talaga before, mahilig ako sa bad boys. And
ngayon, naa-appreciate ko na 'yung mga good guys talaga. Kahit wholesome doesn't
mean na boring or passive na walang initiative.
"So yes, I'm excited to fall in love again. I've said it before and I'll say
it again," she ended.
