MANILA, MARCH 7, 2012 (http://www.mp8.ph/) The country's
Summer Capital will again be home to the Filipino southpaw in the early part of
his training, before proceeding to the Wild Card gym in Los Angeles for the rest
of the build-up to the fight.
"Three weeks muna tayo sa Baguio, and then five weeks sa Wild Card na.
Eight weeks uli lahat-lahat ang training natin," said Pacquiao Saturday
night, when he graced the Philippine Sportswriters Association (PSA) Annual
Awards Night at the Manila Hotel as one of the special guests.
Manny Pacquiao, considered one of the greatest fighters of all-time, has been
installed
as a heavy 5-1 favorite to breeze past the 28-year-old Bradley,
the reigning WBO light-welterweight champion.
The boxing champion expects training camp to commence shortly after the Holy
Week.
"Jogging and takbo lang muna bago katapusan ng buwan, para may hangin na
pag-start ng training sa April," said the boxing champion, who shared the
presidential table with Vice-President Jejomar Binay, Philippine Olympic
Committee (POC) president Jose `Peping' Cojuangco, International Olympic
Committee (IOC) representative to the country Frank Elizalde and pool king
Dennis Orcollo, co-recipient of the PSA's Athlete of the Year honor, together
with Nonito Donaire Jr, another Filipino boxer. -
