MANILA,
MARCH 9, 2012 (INQUIRER) By: the
Entertainment staff Philippine Daily Inquirer - Makati Mayor Junjun Binay is
said to have found a new text mate.
A mole says Binay has eyes only for a pretty singer-actress (who
has just cooled off with her beau and is very much available).
Coincidentally, the object of the mayor's affection has practiced playing
stepmom onstage. Binay is a widower with four young children.
Kris Aquino was once linked to Binay in gossip columns. Coincidentally again,
the new girl shares the TV host's name—with a slight change in spelling. Plus,
she comes from a show biz-political clan as well.
MVP-GMA merger?
Rumors of TV5 boss Manny V. Pangilinan's attempt to buy GMA 7 continues to
steam up biz news. Asked whether MVP was indeed eyeing his network, Kapuso head
Felipe L. Gozon quipped: "Only MVP can properly answer this question."
Asked point-blank if MVP had made an offer and if he had accepted, FLG
replied, simply: "No."
ARCI Muñoz Love-turned-hate team
As they say, familiarity breeds contempt. Lovey-dovey screen sweethearts,
Pretty Starlet and Hunky Actor, now hate each other's guts.
Company execs are in a quandary. They are building up PS and HA as a love
team, when they are more of a hate tandem.
A mole says HA can't stand the overbearing ways of PS who is notorious for
being a prima donna. HA often has to suffer in silence while PS throws her
weight around.
It can also be because HA thinks he's prettier than PS, a veritable rival for
gorgeous boys who hang out in the studio.
Peace offering
This popular love team almost broke up. Beautiful Starlet went
ballistic because Handsome Hunk was late for their date.
"BS threw HH out of the studio," said an insider. Incensed, HH almost called
it quits.
ANGELICOPTER has fallen out of grace. Sensing trouble, BS suddenly had
a change of heart and sent HH a very expensive gift—a toy for a big boy that set
her back by hundreds of thousands. Yup, she's a big one.
Strike two
Sweet Star cried buckets when Dashing Beau left her—not for Another Girl as
reported, but for Wealthy Gay.
SS has found love anew in Cute Hunk. Problem is, CH has long been rumored as
a closet case. SS is ignoring the tell-tale signs because she's much too in love
to see.

For those who missed last weekend's TV gabfests (and why we are moved, if we
are moved):
Former GMA 7 exec Wilma Galvente on reconciling with Annabelle Rama: "Trabaho
lang naman every time, all the time. Ever since, walang personalan.
Sa personal level, we're good people." (Good people can be less than friendly
at work. Got that.)
AIKO Melendez asked what she missed most about Wilma Galvante: "Na-miss ko sa
kanya 'yung tsismisan namin sa office niya. Halos every day nandoon ako sa
kanya, nagku-kwentuhan kami. … Lumambot ang puso ko nung malaman ko na wala na
siya sa GMA." (The network just had to be taken out the equation. Got that.)
Grace Lee on accusations that she's the reason Angelicopter
was booted from Magic 89.9: "Ang pinaka-ayoko dito 'yung sinabi niya na ginawa
ko 'yun dahil I feel powerful… This happened before I met the President … and
let me be clear, inaway niya ako… To bring in the issue about me dating the
President … that is so childish naman. I think maiintindihan niyo naman siguro
kung ayoko na talaga (to reconcile with Angelicopter)." (Hush, child. This is
the opposite of being [first] lady-like.)
Kris Bernal on Judy Ann Santos: "Idol ko po siya. Feeling ko po mabait siya
at malambot ang puso at saka masarap siyang magmahal." (Masarap ding magluto.)
Aiko Melendez, asked if there's a possibility that she'd get back together
with Jomari Yllana: "I don't know. Maraming nagho-hope at naniniwala na baka ang
ending kami pa rin. Who knows? I'm not seeing anybody, and as far as I know—and
I hope till this day—wala pa rin siyang nakikita. Basta ang importante dito
maganda 'yung relasyon namin at maganda 'yung pakikitungo niya sa anak namin.
Happy na ako dun." (Jomari? Jom, come back here!)
Ryan Agoncillo on being nominated best actor for "My House
Husband" in the coming Star Awards: "Kung mabigyan ng award, eh 'di OK! Kung
hindi, ayos lang." (Promise?)
Arci Muñoz, asked if she's willing to do daring roles: "Alam ko naman po ang
mga limitations ko pagdating sa mga ganyang klaseng bagay. I come from a family
na very conservative talaga, at binabantayan ng daddy ko ang bawat labas ko sa
telebisyon. So ako, depende po talaga sa role." (Sounded like a no, but that was
a yes)
Christian Bautista on rumors that he's transferring to TV5: "Narinig ko lang
din 'yan. 'Di ko pa alam 'yung actual offer. Pero right now, I'm committed to my
ABS-CBN contract until August. Siguro dun sa offer, i-review natin, pag-aralan
natin … Tingnan natin what is the best route for me and my future." (Where
there's smoke…)
Robin Padilla, asked why he doesn't seem to age: "Importante kasi 'yung may
nag-aalaga!" (Korek! And he sure can pick 'em.)
Mel Tiangco, asked why her relationship with Mike Enriquez never blossomed:
"Eh, he's not my type! Ha-ha!" (Uh, is the feeling mutual?)
Glydel Mercado, asked about the secret of her marriage to Tonton Gutierrez:
"Kung magturingan kami, hindi lang mag-asawa kundi magkaibigan din. Parang
