PNoy NOT REASON
MANILA, MARCH 11, 2012 (ABS-CBN) Korean TV and radio personality
Grace Lee is leaving her morning show on radio station Magic 89.9.
This was confirmed by Andrew Santiago, station manager of Magic 89.9.
Lee also said in her official Twitter account that she will properly say
goodbye in her morning show, "Good Times," on Thursday.
In her supposed e-mail for co-host DJ Mo Twister dated March 6, 2012 that has
been going around online, Lee said that for the past month, she has been
"emotionally struggling."
"I realized the our show requires me to be who I am; but lately it's been
difficult when everyone wants to twist or put malice into things that I would
normally say," she said.
Lee said she "realized that at this point in time I'm not capable of handling
the format of our morning show. The show has given me a wonderful, fun four
years; but I believe the time has come for me to exit."
While she is leaving her morning radio show, it is not clear whether she will
just tranfer to another program or leave the station permanently.
Lee is currently dating President Benigno Aquino III.
Below is the complete supposed e-mail of Lee to Mo.
Hi Mo,
Composed a long email and found out my dog chewed on our internet cable.
Hay. Well, I have been contemplating this for quite some time and with the
recent happenings in my life I guess it just fast-tracked my decision-making. As
you already know the past month has been really stressful and emotionally I have
been struggling. I realized the our show requires me to be who I am; but lately
it's been difficult when everyone wants to twist or put malice into things that
I would normally say.
I admit I have been extra sensitive to things and I know you can sense it
and so can the listeners. I have realized that at this point in time I'm not
capable of handling the format of our morning show. The show has given me a
wonderful, fun four years; but I believe the time has come for me to exit.
I hope you understand and rest-assured I will always be indebted to this
show you pioneered. I will talk to the management regarding my decision and on
Thursday drop by the show to properly say goodbye to our listeners. Thank you
again Mo for making everything possible this show has changed my life.

MANILA, Philippines - Korean radio and television personality Grace
Lee formally bade farewell to her morning radio show "Good Times" on Thursday.
Lee said her decision to leave the program has nothing to do with her dating
relationship with President Benigno Aquino III.
"Of course not. A lot of people have been asking me...the reason why it was
difficult for me to break it, to tell the management that I was leaving... But
it has nothing to do with it," she said.
Lee then explained that she only told the President about her decision on
Wednesday.
"In fact, he doesn't even know that I would be leaving the show up until
yesterday. I didn't even tell him up until yesterday. And it's funny because I
told him yesterday and he was like, 'why are you leaving?' He just asked why,
and I explained," she said.
The 29-year-old Korean added that she had been planning to leave the show
since last year.
Meanwhile, Lee thanked her station and all the people she worked with during
her last day on "Good Times."
"Mo (Twister), you have opened so many doors for me and this show has done so
much for me, and I will always be grateful. To Magic 89.9, to our boss, staff...
you all stood by me and defended me," she said.
In her supposed e-mail to co-host DJ Mo Twister dated March 6, 2012, Lee said
that for the past month, she has been "emotionally struggling."
"I realized that our show requires me to be who I am; but lately it's been
difficult when everyone wants to twist or put malice into things that I would
normally say," she said.
Lee said she "realized that at this point in time I'm not capable of handling
the format of our morning show. The show has given me a wonderful, fun, four
years but I believe the time has come for me to exit."
The Korean assured that she will remain a part of the Magic 89.9 family. "I'm
not leaving Magic, I'm just leaving the show," she said.

Grace Lee says she will no longer answer questions about
PNoy: "Kasi I'm really trying to be as normal as possible." Gorgy
Rula Saturday, March 10, 2012 @ 11:43AM
Magic 89.9.
"No more questions about the President, kasi I'm really trying to be as
normal as possible and the more you ask me about it, it isn't..."
First Lady, na kaagad niyang sinagot ng, "Let's not go there...no details, no
details so that's all I'm gonna say about that."
"We were introduced over dinner," pakli nito.
"Mabait siya at saka very interesting.
"She's such a wonderful person and she's so fun to talk to parang hindi kami
nauubusan ng kuwento, 'cause magkatabi lang kami and kasama niya yung anak niya
and of course he's [Bimby] so adorable also."
"For me, it was parang...it was more than I expected [because] you know,
she's Kris Aquino and all that, and I didn't expect her to be so candid with
"Of course I have to inform him of certain changes in my career, sinabi ko sa
kanya kahapon to let him know.
FROM MANILA BULLETIN
Grace meets Kris By ALEX VALENTIN BROSAS March 10,
2012, 4:24am
MANILA, Philippines - Controversial radio deejay and TV host Grace
Lee has finally met loquacious presidential sister Kris Aquino over dinner.
"Ikinuwento ni Grace ang pagkikita nila ni Kris Aquino. Sa isang dinner raw
sila nagkakilala," Nelson Canlas reported on "24 Oras," March 8.
The meeting, by Grace's account, went very well.
"She's so fun to talk to," Grace intimated. "Parang hindi siya nauubusan ng
kuwento 'coz magkatabi lang kami. Kasama niya 'yung anak niya. He's so adorable
also."
Her first encounter with Kris has been "more than I expected," Grace said.
"Kasi, you know, she's Kris Aquino and all that and I didn't expect her to be
so candid with me, so open. Mabait siya," she explained.
Was she intimidated having personally met the youngest sister of her rumored
suitor President Noynoy Aquino?
Grace said she's far from that.
"Knowing him and knowing the family, inisip ko na parang, 'Hey, if she comes
from this kind of family maybe there's no reason for me to be intimidated.'"
tila masasalamin ang kanyang makulay at masayang love life."
The report also delved on Grace's resignation from her early morning radio
show with Mo Twister.
"Naging madamdamin ang pamamaalam ni Grace Lee sa kanyang programa sa Magic
89.9 kaninang umaga. Hindi kinumpleto ni Grace ang kanyang shift at thirty
minutes lang ang inilagi sa show. Matapos basahin ni Grace ang kanyang
inihandang liham para sa kanyang listeners [ay] naluha ang celebrity DJ," the
report said.
"Nilinaw ni Grace na sa morning show lang siya nag-resign at hindi niya iiwan
ang radio station."
When asked if she resigned from the radio show because of MoTwister, Grace
replied in the negative.
So, was it the president Noynoy Aquino that caused her to resign?
An emphatic "No, no, talaga," was her curt reply.
Although she had already told the radio station's management as early as last
week that she was planning to resign, which was why she had not been on the show
since Monday, Grace shared that she only informed the president about her
decision "only yesterday."
Grace felt obligated "to inform him of certain changes in my career."
"Sinabi ko sa kanya kahapon to let him know," she added.
"He just, you know, asked me why. And then I explained to him and then he
understands," Grace said of the president's reaction.
