dislikes the Philippines]
MANILA,
MARCH 17, 2012 (BULLETIN) By
ALEX VALENTIN BROSAS - The Department of Tourism (DOT) is not at all bothered by
a video on YouTube in which an American rattled off reasons for disliking the
country.
"Sa gitna ng kampanya ng Department of Tourism na 'It's More Fun In The
banyagang lalaki na may titulong '20 reasons why I dislike the Philippines.'
Meron na itong mahigit 300,00 views," a report on "24 Oras" said.
tissue paper at tubig," the newscast said, adding, "Hindi naman ito ikinabahala
ng DOT."
Reacting on the video that went viral, Asec. Benito Bengzon, Jr. of DOT said,
video."
Another female student was seemingly agitated by the negativity of the video.
[ang video]," she explained.
bansa," the report said.
Asec Bengzon expressed willingness to meet Sieczka to explain some things.
Bengzon said.
Presidential spokesperson Edwin Lacierda seemingly brushed off the American's
comment about the country, saying, "Each and every person who comes here and
there'll be things that he will not like. There'll be things that a tourist
would like in the Philippines."

The trending topic today on social networks.
Jimmy Sieczka, (accdg to google search results) is an American Guy currently
living and working in Cebu for almost 3 and a half years. His claiming himself
to know soo much about the country and thus, made a video about "20 reasons he
dislike the Philippines" posted it Channelfix and currently have 66153 views.
Fair or Unfair?
This video is causing all sorts of controversy but if you think about it,
solving these would make the country better. Sometimes you need a stranger to
point out the ugly truth about ourselves. Sure these things are what give the
Philippines and Filipinos our own unique and sometimes charming "character," but
I really wouldn't mind if I never get to see the things he pointed out
again.
