KRIS-JAMES MARRIAGE ANNULLED / KRIS
LOOKING FORWARD TO MEET GRACE LEE

MANILA, FEBRUARY 4, 2012 (ABS-CBN) Queen of All Media Kris Aquino's
marriage to star cager James Yap is finally over.
In an interview during a photo shoot for her newest television series
"Kailangan Ko'y Ikaw" on Thursday evening, Aquino publicly announced that her
marriage with Yap, father of her youngest son, James Yap Jr. or Bimby, has been
annulled by the court.
It was August 9, 2010 when Aquino filed the petition before the Makati
Regional Trial Court (RTC) to nulilify her marriage to Yap.
In an amended petition filed with the Makati RTC on September 2010, Aquino
cited mutual "psychological incapacity" as ground for the court to annul her
marriage to Yap.
Aquino's lawyers said the 2 should no longer continue their relationship as
husband and wife because of their mental state.
The petition said both Aquino and Yap had "personality disorders" ever since
they were young.
On June 27, 2010, Aquino admitted that her 5-year-marriage to James was
finally over.
She said it was not a "spur of the moment" decision." For the sake of their
only child Baby James, Aquino refused to reveal the reason for their separation.

Aquino, who is 11 years older than Yap, married the professional basketball
player on July 10, 2005.

MANILA, Philippines - King of Talk Boy Abunda, a close friend
of Kris Aquino, revealed the actress and her former husband James Yap agreed on
the division of their properties after their 5-year-marriage was annulled by the
court.
"Yung pinag-uusapang separation of properties ito ay naganap one year before
today. Nagkaroon na sila ng agreement na dalawa kung paano hahatiin ang
properties approved by the court," Abunda said on Bandila, Thursday evening.

Abunda also shared that the "lack of authority of the solemnizing officer"
was the reason why the marriage has been annulled.
As mandated by the family code, their only son James Yap Jr. or Bimby will be
under the custody of Aquino. Bimby will still carry the surname Yap.
Yap, however, has been granted with visitation rights.
"Alam mo sabi ni Kris, she pays tribute to James na he's not greedy, fair ang
kanilang pag-uusap. It doesn't call for celebration she pointed this out na
kapag na-a-annul ang isang kasal hindi ito dahilan para magbunyi at
mag-celebrate," says Abunda, who taped a one-on-one interview with Aquino for
"The Buzz."
For his part, Abunda said that he's just happy that Aquino and Yap have
remained good friends.
Aquino's tell-all on her marriage's annulment will be aired this Sunday on
"The Buzz."
On Friday morning, Aquino publicly admitted that her marriage with Yap is
finally over. Aquino and her sons Bimby and Joshua are on their way to Hong Kong
Disneyland to celebrate her birthday. Aquino is celebrating her 41st birthday on
February 14.
FROM MANILA BULLETIN
Kris Aquino speaks up on PNoy-Grace Lee issue, working with
Joey Marquez By JULIEN MERCED C. MATABUENA February 2, 2012,

MANILA, Philippines – Kris Aquino would like to personally meet
Korean TV host and DJ Grace Lee who is said the be the apple of the eye of the
former's brother, President Benigno "Noynoy" Aquino III.
In a taped interview aired on "TV Patrol," Feb. 1, Kris related, "My ate has
met her [Grace]. Hindi ko pa siya nakikilala, but my ate had really nice words
to say about her.
"So I'm so looking forward to also meeting her," said she.
Last week, DJ Mo Twister squealed on Twitter about colleague Grace's date
with the 51-year-old bachelor. Both parties have kept mum about the issue, until
Wednesday morning when the president himself confirmed that they "are seeing
each other."
A few hours later, Grace affirmed his pronouncement via the GMA News TV show,
"Balitanghali."
Interestingly, the story has already been picked up by foreign media. A day
before Grace and PNoy's admission, South Korea's The Korea Times posted on its
website the article, "Is Filipino president in love with Korean woman?"
Meanwhile, a photo retweeted by Grace on Thursday morning shows a story ran
today by the Singapore's The Straits Times, "Aquino has new Korean girlfriend."

"I'm overwhelmed by the positive, understanding and warm tweets from
everyone:) thank you," the Korean TV personality tweeted also on Thursday.
The two met during an event in Cebu on June 2010, which Grace emceed with
PNoy in attendance. In his speech, the president called the 29-year old host
"gwapa" ("beautiful").
But while Kris is positive about meeting Grace, she sings a different
tune when it comes to her ex-boyfriend, Joey Marquez (photo).
Asked to react on her ex's statement that he is open to the possibility of
interviewing her for his show, "Showbiz Inside Report," Kris simply told "TV
Patrol" also on Wednesday, "I'm not."
Joey recently inked a contract with the Kapamilya network and is set to
co-host the program with Carmina Villaroel, Janice de Belen and Ogie Diaz.
Saying that whatever was between them is now "a part of the distant past as
far as I'm concerned," Kris explained that she just doesn't want "to open up old
wounds that are better left healed."
"I feel that it'll do neither me nor him any good," she added.
However, Kris clarified that her refusal connotes "nothing negative" against
the comedian-actor.
"I don't wish him any ill will or anything like that. It's just na I've
reached a level of maturity siguro na gusto ko lang ng katahimikan," she said.

Kris and Joey's very public and nasty split in 2003 may be remembered for her
tearful revelation on national TV where she alleged that she had not only
acquired STD (sexually transmitted disease) from him, but that he had also
pointed a gun at her.
