- Grace Lee is probably the luckiest girl these days having President Noynoy
Aquino III on her side as well as her radio station, Magic 89.9.
"Station didn't have to... But thank you boss," was Grace's brief comment on
her official twitter account (@gracelee899) where she reposted the link of
Magic's statement on Angelicopter's claim that she got the boot from the show
"Good Times with Mo [GTWM]" upon Grace's demand.
"Grateful for all the support from my @Magic899 family. Thank you everyone.
you all made my day easier:) Mwah~" Grace added.
Angelicopter's story
In PEP's Feb. 21 article, Angelicopter gave the following reason that
allegedly led to her removal from the show, which Grace co-hosts along with Mo
Twister and Mojo Jojo.
"The reason behind this was because Grace told our management that she will
no longer appear on a show with me," Angelicopter was quoted as saying in the
exclusive report.
According to her, Grace's was reportedly irked by a miscommunication they had
in one "GTWM" episode.
"Kasi nagkasabay kami nag invite ng guests sa show. Napikon siya. Humirit
siya. So ako rin napikon. Humirit din ako," narrated Angelicopter.
She claimed that she tried reaching out to Grace in order to patch things up
but in vain.
"She [Grace] even walked out on the show when she saw me in attendance," said
she.
It was that incident that made Angelicopter realize that there was no more
chance to fix their misunderstanding. And "due to seniority" what would've been
a one-week break for her to cool things down between them had led to her being
permanently axed from the show.
Magic's clarification
A day after the story on Angelicopter came out, Magic 89.9 refuted "favoring"
Grace over the other.
In a statement released on its official Facebook Fanpage, the station
stressed that Angelicopter was "terminated" due to "internal issues" and not
because of her "conflict" with the Korean TV personality.
"It was a matter decided after an ongoing assessment of her overall
performance," the statement read.
The release added, "Magic 89.9 has a culture of giving as many chances as
possible provided those concerned show the capacity to improve their craft both
off and on air. We're saddened that it had to come to this."
The release did confirm the "misunderstanding" between the two DJs.
"Admittedly, conflicts happen between jocks in radio shows specially in a
high pressured show like 'Good Times,'" part of the statement read.

Iyon ang pinagmulan ng bansag sa kanya ngayon na "Angelicopter."
Mula noon ay nakilala na si Angelika bilang commercial model, host ng Sports
Juicy sa AKTV channel, endorser ng isang cosmetic enhancement brand, at isa sa
castaways ng Survivor Philippines Celebrity Doubles Showdown.
Nakontak na ng PEP ang manager ni Grace Lee na si Arnold Vegafria. At sinabi
nito na sa pagkakaalam niya, "last year" pa raw nangyari ang isyu.
Dagdag pa nito: "It's best if you ask the station manager since they would
know what really happened."
Nananatili ring bukas ang website na ito para sa panig ng iba pang may
kinalaman sa kuwentong ito.
ANGELICOPTER'S TEXT MESSAGE. Narito ang text messages ni Angelicopter na
ipinadala niya sa PEP:
First message:
"Hi dear. I've been aksed about this several times and as you may have
noticed we are no longer together on the radio show Good Times with MO. The
reason behind this was because Grace told our management that she will no longer
appear on a show with me. This stems from some unfortunate issues we've had
recently. Throughout the past month I've been trying to reach out to Grace in
order to fix our issues but she refuses to patch up any misunderstandings. She
even walked out on the show when she saw me in attendance. I knew then that day
that she will refuse any attempts at good will or for any desire to patch things
up. I will be honest and say that we were both at fault but the true loss here
is that we both hurt our program and disappointed our listeners because of
something so petty that could've easily been fixed if the parties were willing.
But it did not turn out that way and due to seniority I was pulled out of the
program. I understand the decision made by management as sad as it is and I
thoroughly enjoyed my time working with Mo Twister & Grace Lee. This has
been discussed on air in magic 89.9 by Mo & Grace. I will definitely miss
the listeners. A whole lot. And I really appreciate how kind the management has
been. Its no one else's fault but Grace and myself. I wish her the best with her
new boyfriend."
Second message:
"May miscommunication kasi nagkasabay kami nag invite ng guests sa show.
Napikon siya. Humirit siya. So ako rin napikon. Humirit din ako. As you see,
hindi nga big deal. Unfortunately she decided that she can no longer work with
me on the show. I wish we could've patched it up. Kasi normal lang to nangyayari
sa programa."
Third message:
"My last day [in Magic 89.9]? Weeks ago. Dapat break lang. Pero decided na
nga ni Grace that she really can't work with me anymore. I tried giving her
space apart from talking to her. It is sad. But nangyari na."
