RUFFA: I'M NOT A RELATIONSHIP WRECKER

RUFFA Gutierrez revealed in "Paparazzi" it's really Shaina Magdayao who texted her first and not otherwise as Shaina claimed. The first time they broke up, she said it's John Lloyd Cruz who first reached out to her. "He texted me and said nagsisisi siya sa ginawa niya sa'kin (for two-timing her). He's very confused then. I told him before he contacts me again, he should be a man."
Dr. Vicki Belo later vouched for Ruffa and said that JL was calling Ruffa even when they were in Paris. In January 2011, Shaina called her at 2 a.m. about JL and she told Shaina there's nothing romantic between her and JL anymore. She even told Shaina to ask her sister Vina who knows she doesn't communicate with JL anymore. The next day, she herself called JL and told him "from this day forward, don't call me anymore even as a friend. Just stay with Shaina. Kung may problema kayo, ayusin nyo, just stay with her." Vina herself later confirmed this.
Ruffa also revealed that ABS-CBN called her to say she should stop seeing JL "dahil makakasira raw sa career niya." From that time on, she didn't see JL, but at Bea Alonzo's birthday party last Oct. 8, she saw him from afar but they didn't talk at all. "I just stayed there for ten minutes." Then on Oct. 17, at Vina's 25th anniversary concert, she saw JL again and she was told he attempted to approach her twice but "pinigilan siya."
She was so surprised when she learned Shaina said "Akong nauna to send text messages." She showed the "Shut up" message she first received from JL's cellfone at 1:33 a.m. She knew that the curse messages she got then was not from JL as, earlier in the party, she saw JL being carried away by four bouncers.
"Tulog. Lasing na lasing siya," Ruffa said. "At 'pag lasing si JL, next day na ang gising nun so he can't send the messages himself."
JL finally called her at 9 a.m. and said sorry about what happened, asking her for a chance to explain. "I'm not a relationship wrecker," Ruffa added. "I'm inspired by someone else right now and I won't flirt with anyone when I'm with someone else." She's referring to Eduardo Puertas, the Brazilian businessman being linked to her.
Ruffa also revealed that Ms. Mariole of ABS-CBN Star Magic told her to be kind, but she had to defend herself. "Pasensiya na, sila ang hindi naging kind sa'kin," she says. Her final word is for JL to be "maging lalaking-lalake ka." Cristy Fermin, Ruffa's co-host minced no words in saying "Lasenggo si John Lloyd." And Ruffa to Shaina: "You have nothing to worry about. Iyong-iyo na si John Lloyd. I just wish you'd tell the truth next time. John Lloyd knows I'm not the first one to text. Malinis ang konsensiya ko."

The afternoon soap "Pahiram ng Isang Ina" is ending this week (to be replaced by "Kokak" on Monday) and Bea Binene somehow feels sad about. "I will miss my co-stars, lalo na si Tita Carmina Villaroel at ang kapatid ko ritong si Martin de los Santos as we all enjoyed working with each other," she says.
What about her leading man, Jake Vargas?
"Di ko naman siya mami-miss kasi magkasama pa rin kami in taping 'Reel Hearts'," she says.
She turned 14 on Nov. 4 and "Showbiz Central" showed her hosting a party for kids with cancer at a pizza parlor in Centris. "I want to bring joy to needy people on my birthday kasi ako, ang dami ko ng blessings na natatanggap."
She later appeared live in "Showbiz Central" and host Jennylyn Mercado asked her what's her birthday wish. "Sa material things, wala na. Just good health for the people around me. Sa career, sana mabigyan uli ako ng soap like 'Pahiram' ngayong pa-ending na ito. Sa private life, sana magbalik na ang father ko sa amin."

Ricky Davao admits it's more difficult to direct than to act. "Also, you have a bigger talent fee as an actor where your sole responsibility is just your own role," he says. "As a director, pinoproblema mo lahat sa set and your work doesn't stop there sa taping dahil tutulong ka pa sa post production, just like in 'Kokak,' we have to do some special effects when Sarah Lahbati transforms into a frog and back into a human, so I have to help supervise the CGI. Also we use plenty of real live frogs in a number of scenes na iisang klase lang. Hindi madali idirek kasi talunan sila ng talunan."
Is Sarah shown nude in her transformation scenes?
"Siempre, aangguluhan namin siya dahil 'di naman puedeng totoong nude at afternoon show ito. But magaling si Sarah. She knows what to do. She'll be a big star kasi maganda, tall and, more importantly, she delivers, may ibubuga sa pag-arte."
He directs "Kokak" Tuesday-Thursday-Saturday. On Monday-Wednesday-Friday, he acts as the dad of Michelle Madrigal and Carla Abellana in "Kung Aagawin Mo ang Langit."

Available for P185 a copy, it was launched officially at the Rizal Ballroom of Makati Shangri-la, with concept by director Freddie Santos and production design by Bong Gacho.
The mag has 150 pages filled with fotos of your fave Kapuso stars and will have no less than nine different covers that include Lovi Poe, Iza Calzado, Rhian Ramos, Jackie Rice, Solenn Heussaff, Aljur Abrenica, Kris Bernal, Sarah Lahbati, Gwen Zamora, Bela Padilla, Tim Yap, Steph Henares, Gino de la Pena and Jace Flores.
How about other top GMA stars like Richard Gutierrez, Marian Rivera and Dingdong Dantes? "Richard was taping 'Survivor Philippines' in an island," said Ms. Henares. "Marian and Dingdong weren't available for the shoot kaya hindi sila nakasama. We also wanted to include sana the people from GMA News but they're also not available."
How did her partnership with Ms. Basa start? "Actually, we're neighbors. Our friendship started because we both love Bruges in Belgium, our favorite place."
"The magazine aims to show the beauty and glamour of GMA stars and our guests in the launch will be leaders from various businesses who can get the GMA stars as their endorsers," says Ms. Basa.

Last Saturday night, Bianca Gonzales showed viewers the 2nd Bahay ni Kuya in "PBB Unlimited." This is classy and well furnished compared to the first house called "looban" which looks like a shanty in a slum area. We're glad that mole Carlo Romero was not evicted even if he failed to accomplish all his challenges as he's definitely a top drawer in the show. He's one of the hunkiest and best-looking guys in this batch and already has a lot of fans. The new batch of housemates were introduced and it's obvious PBB gave more importance to good looks as most of them really register well on cam.
