VICKI BELO, HAYDEN KHO TO TIE THE KNOT WITH PRE-NUP?
MANILA, JULY 19, 2011 (MALAYA) MARIO BAUTISTA('I think he wants to prove something or it's probably his way of atoning for his sins. – Quark Henares')
DIRECTOR QUARK Henares said his movie "Rakenrol" took five years to complete since he had a hard time looking for producers.
Why didn't he ask his mom, Dr. Vicki Belo, to help him? "Hindi siya abusado," Quark's younger sister, Crystalle, answered ahead of him.
Quark then retorted with a smile: "Bakit? Sino ba ang abusado." Even the stars of "Rakenrol" namely Glaiza de Castro, Jason Abalos, Alwyn Uytingco and Ketchup Eusebio smiled and laughed.

Crystalle's face turned red upon realizing the implication of her answer that might refer to their mom's fiancé, Hayden Kho, whose businesses are allegedly being financed by Dr. Belo. "I don't mean that," she said. "Okay, wala na akong sinabi."
"I've never really relied on my mom," said Quark. "My past films were produced by Viva and Regal, but here, meron pa din naman significant donation ang mom ko."
Was he serious when he said that there'll be blood if Hayden would fool his mom again? "My mom asked me about it and I told her it's not my intention to malign anyone. I just want to remind everyone na kinikilig na, teka lang, baka nakalimutan ninyo na what happened before. I think this is the chance for him (Hayden) to prove he's not a bad person. Kaya sige, we'll give him another chance but don't do it again."
Will he call Hayden, Tito? "Baka Papa," he quipped. Crystalle butted in, laughing and said: "Or Papi." Quark added: "We're just the same age."
Quark admitted that he will not be here for his mom's wedding since he will be in the US to study. "If they will do it sa Los Angeles, I might be able to make it. I'll be the ring bearer."
What can he say about Hayden asking for a pre-nuptial agreement? "I'm super okay with it. In fairness to him, he's the one who brought it up. I think he wants to prove something or it's probably his way of atoning for his sins."
Crystalle became more emotional talking about the wedding. "Sobrang mahal namin si Mommy kaya kung saan siya masaya, masaya na rin kami ni Kuya. She deserves to be happy. Life is short."
How's her relationship with her future stepdad? "Okay naman, we're civil. But when mom and I are together, we don't talk about him kasi she knows maba-bad vibes lang ako. It's only natural for us to be protective of our mom. Let's see what happens after the wedding."
Will they invite Hayden to the premier of "Rakenrol" on July 23 at the CCP. "Everyone is welcome. This is my tribute to the local rock music scene that has a rich heritage from the time of Pepe Smith, The Jerks and The Dawn. We composed new songs for the film but we also used the songs of other bands like the Eraserheads, Sandwich and others as homage to them," said Quark.
"When the movie was shown abroad, a lot of foreigners like the music and asked us about it. It's also my tribute to our dad's (Atom Henares) former rock station, NU107 that closed down last November. We grew up with it, like it's the third child of our parents. I even produced the NU Rock Awards," he added.

RICH ASUNCION denied that she and Aljur Abrenica are dating again. "Aljur is in the States now promoting GMA Pinoy TV but if he's here, he'd be the first to tell you that we haven't seen each other for the longest time," she said. "I'm busy taping 'Sisid' in distant locations at matagal na rin siya wala rito, so it's impossible for us to see each other. Also, Kylie (Padilla) and I are okay. We see and greet each other sa 'Party Pilipinas'."
Is she satisfied with her role in "Sisid" as Frida, villain to Jackie Rice? "Okay naman. May daring scene ako rito with JC Tiuseco. He's in love with Jackie but obsessed naman ako sa kanya, so I'll seduce him. We have a love scene. Naloka ko sa pinagagawa sa amin ni Direk Ricky Davao."
What about the rumors linking her to Marian Rivera's ex-boyfriend, Ervic Vijandre? "We do go out. Sinusundo niya ko sa bahay and he already met my family. They like him kasi he's a gentleman. But I don't want to presume na nanliligaw na nga siya sa akin. As of now, friends kami and if we'd go deeper than that, it depends on him. Basta masaya ako sa company niya."

THE FIRST guests of Nomer Lasala in the second season of his TV show, "Mind Master," are Heart Evangelista and Daniel Matsunaga.
We asked them how their trip to Brazil was. "Kapagod but worth it, sulit talaga. We just stayed in their place in Brasilia. It's a 30-hour trip via Hong Kong, Dubai, and Sao Paulo… The same when coming back to Manila. I met all his relatives. Mababait sila," said Heart.
Has she seen her latest movie, "Temptation Island?" "Not yet, pero balak namin one of these days. May jet lag pa kasi kami. Next week, first anniversary na namin. Ang bilis. One year na kami."
How does she feel that Lovi Poe is now being praised for the role that was originally meant for her? "Okay lang, no problem. I'm happy naman with my own role. I'm just glad it's a hit."
Is it true that she plans to sue those people who wrote about her tiff with Marian Rivera? "We're still studying it. Siyempre, I want peace din… Na maayos na. But we're making some moves that I'm not yet allowed to say kung ano."
In the "Mind Master" episode that airs on July 24, Nomer asks Heart and Daniel to pick a card from a stack of cards with specific designs. He correctly guesses what designs they have selected.
The second set of guests consists of Geoff Eigenmann and Jay-R who will undergo regression exercises or going back to their past with the help of Nomer.

CHERRY PIE PICACHE didn't have second thoughts in playing the role of a woman who gives birth to a fish in the movie, "Isda, Fable of the Fish."
The film is the 3rd Cinemalaya entry of Director Adolf Alix (after "Donsol" about whale sharks and "Kadin" about a goat), which is now showing at the CCP and Greenbelt 3.
"Very challenging ang role ko kasi napakasimpleng babae ni Lina," she said. "Mas simple, mas mahirap gawin. Dream niya maging isang ina but when she gives birth sa gitna ng baha, isda naman ang lumabas. Tinanggap niya ng buong-buo ang anak niya na ito at tinawag niyang Miguelito, kahit mismong asawa niya, hindi makapaniwalang minahal niya yung isda. Challenge din sa akin 'yung palabasin mong normal si Lina at hindi baliw."
For the movie, they bought Bala sharks that cost P2,500 each as Cherry Pie's son. They used seven Bala sharks in the film. "Mas mahal pa ito kaysa sa talent ng mga artista," said Asst. Director Arman Reyes.
"In films like this, you don't do it for money," said Cherry Pie. "You do it for passion and soul."
