LAS VEGAS – Manny Pacquiao can stay up all night in his spacious Mandalay Bay suite because there's a pool table in the family room.
But that can wait, perhaps after the fight.
The Filipino boxing icon arrived here close to midnight of Monday, ready to defend his WBO welterweight crown against Shane Mosley.
He said he's here to fight.
"I'm ready. I'm excited," said Pacquiao, who opened the doors to his suite to close to 50 people who joined him in the 300-mile trip from Los Angeles.
It was way past his bedtime when he came out of his bedroom for a late dinner of his favorite bulalo, steamed fish, beef kaldereta and steamed rice.
His wife, Jinkee, sat beside him at the dinner table, as his guests filled almost every space available.
It was a brand-new setting for Pacquiao, who stayed in smaller suites during his previous stays here at Mandalay Bay.

It's got three bedrooms, big ones, a living room that can hold a big party, and a family room with its own pool table and a wall-mounted television the size of a dining table.
To top it all, Pacquiao's suite, located on the 60th floor, has its own elevator.
Pacquiao said all the hard work has been done in training, and there's no reason for him, and all his fans, to worry about the coming fight.
"Well if you train hard you have nothing to worry about the fight," he said.
He sparred four rounds earlier in the day at the Wild Card Gym, and closed it all with a little over 120 rounds of sparring.
It was all fun at the famous Hollywood sweatshop as Pacquiao cooled down inside the ring. He played imaginary basketball, jumping up and down like he was taking three pointers or layin-up, and did the Bruce Lee moves.
He sang the lines from "Somewhere Down the Road," and chased a couple of team members around the ring, whacking them from behind, spraying water on them.
"It's fun. There's nothing to worry about," he repeated.
Even when there was no need.
