MANILA, NOVEMBER 11, 2010 (FEMALE NETWORK) By Belle Yambao - Valenzuela counselor Shalani Soledad says agreeing to co-host Willie Revillame's variety show Willing Willie is an extension of her service to the people.
PEP.ph reports in an article Shalani saying: "Siguro, kapag titingnan mo rin, marami pa ring questions. Kasi, hanggang ngayon hindi pa rin ako makapaniwala that I am also here," the article quotes. "Pero noong kinausap kasi namin si Willie, naramdaman ko 'yong sincerity ng offer. This is not about Willie, this is not about me, but it's more on kung ano ang magagawa para sa tao."
On the show last Monday, Willie welcomed Shalani, claiming she's the heart of the show. "Alam mo, Shalani, kailangan ka ng sambayanang Pilipino. Kailangan ka namin sa programa, para mas mapalawak pa namin yung pagbibigay ng saya at tulong sa kanila..." he is quoted as saying. "So this time, magkasama tayo. Balewala naman lahat ng ito, e, kung hindi sila ang kasama natin."

NOY DID NOT WATCH SHALANI TV DEBUT
(STAR) By Aurea Calica - President Aquino was unable to watch the debut of his former girlfriend Valenzuela City Councilor Shalani Soledad on television.
"Was not able to," Mr. Aquino said in a text message yesterday to reporters.
Soledad made her first appearance as co-host of comedian Willie Revillame in the TV5 show "Willing Willie" on Monday night.
On Monday, the President was asked if he would watch Soledad that night. His reply indicated he would likely miss the show.
"It depends on how much material I will be given tonight (Monday night) to study and I only have two days to finish all of the preparations," he said, referring to the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation summit and other meetings that he will attend in Japan.
The President is leaving tomorrow for Yokohama and will be there until Monday.
"So I have two days of work left here. I'm going to Cebu for the launching of a ship (today), the inauguration of a hotel which would help our tourism campaign. Then, in the afternoon, I have to study for all the APEC discussions, so we're really pressed for (time) this week. Even our local political concerns, there are so many who are asking for appointments before I leave, and we're really quite hard pressed to accommodate all of them," Mr. Aquino said.
Mr. Aquino said he wished Soledad well in her new career and hoped she would find fulfillment and true happiness in it.
