JINKY PACQUIAO GOES SHOPPING IN DALLAS MALLS TO RELIEVE TENSION

GRAPEVINE, TEXAS, NOVEMBER 14, 2010 (MANILA STANDARD) by Robbie Pangilinan —Jinkee Pacquiao's way of easing the tension that has been building up as her husband Manny's fight with Antonio Margarito at the Cowboys Stadium here draws near is to shop till she drops.
Mrs. Pacquiao, who arrived Monday, says she hits the malls here almost daily.
"Yeah, the tension is becoming too much as the days go by," she told a Filipino sportswriter at the Grapevine Mills Mall.
"So to relieve myself of the tension, all I do is go to the malls and buy small things me and my children need.
"Only mall-hopping actually. But if I find small things I and our children need, I buy them."
By small things Mrs. Pacquiao means clothes for herself and twin sister Janet at bebe, one of her favorite labels. Trend-setting celebrities are among bebe's clients, and they include Britney Spears, Melissa Joan Hart, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Vivica Fox, Jennifer Lopez, Michelle Rodriguez, Alicia Keys and Sheryl Crow.
Earlier, Mrs. Pacquiao bought an Hermes bag worth $11,000 in Dallas. She looked stunning in a pink blouse and white shorts. She was in the company of sisters Janet and Haidee, brothers Nestor and Russel, and close friend Bernard Cloma.
"I'm doing this to escape from the frenzy of the Wild Card Gym [where Manny trains]," Mrs. Paquiao said.
"Also, to prevent myself from thinking what would happen in the fight, what with the reports I heard that Margarito could be his hardest and roughest opponent."
She's particularly worried about the reports coming from the Robert Garcia Boxing Academy, where Margarito trains, which predicts a Tijuana Tornado victory.
But she says she'd rather just pray for her husband than dwell on those reports.
"While I believe in Freddie's [Roach] prediction of Manny's victory, you can't blame me also if I feel worried and scared thinking about a different result," Mrs. Paquiao said.
