FREE CONCERT: GREENPEACE CELEBRATES 10 YEARS OF PROTECTING ENVIRONMENT
MANILA, NOVEMBER 25, 2010 (GREENPEACE ASIA) Greenpeace to host free concert and fair this weekend on its 10th anniversary.

This weekend, Greenpeace Southeast Asia is celebrating 10 years of protecting the environment this 27 and 28 November 2010.
For the occasion, the environment group, one of the world's most dynamic NGOs, is hosting "Barangay Greenpeace Year 10" (BGY10) a 2-day celebration and fair at Harbor Square, CCP grounds, Pasay City.
The festivities will be highlighted by a "Turn the Tide" concert for climate change solutions, featuring Dong Abay, Noel Cabangon, Coffeebreak Island, Tanya Markova, Reggae Mistress, The Late Isabel, Lady-I, Tropical Depression, Sidhi and other leading edge bands, which will be presented by celebrity guests. Indonesian reggae icon Tony Q will also be performing and the concert will be shown during a concurrent program in Indonesia by Jakarta station, Green Radio.
Other activities during BGY 10 include an Eco Kids program with toy-making, recycling crafts, bubble-making and creative-story-telling; a solar cafe manned by celebrity baristas churning out coffee prepared using solar power; an ER bike ride and clinic featuring the Firefly Brigade and CYCAD; carbon-free pursuits, such as a zipping workshop; a waste audit of Manila Bay conducted by the Eco-Waste Coalition and the Global Alliance for Incinerator Alternatives (GAIA); and a sustainable art workshop conducted by Doodle Earth.
