PHNO-SB: LAMBERT CONCERT TICKETS NOT MOVING?

LAMBERT CONCERT TICKETS NOT MOVING?

MANILA, OCTOBER 10, 2010 (MALAYA) PUZZLER: The relatives of a young upstart are still very much upset over the behavior of an older actress towards the former. The source said it reached the relatives' attention that the older actress still bullies the younger one and says bad things about the young upstart whenever their paths cross. Our source said the relatives are close to regretting their decision not to have filed charges against the older actress and could only grit their teeth at the request of the young upstart to keep quiet about the issue.

HINT: The relatives of the young upstart are known for being fighters while the older actress is also known for her feistiness. The actresses are together in a soap opera.

PUZZLER: Some members of the press are turned off by the behavior of this gay talent manager in functions for his high-profile client. During the last couple of launches he handled for this client (who zoomed to popularity because of her association with showbiz celebrities and by wooing the showbiz media in general), talent manager shooed and shouted at the TV crew, photographers and some writers to remain in a restricted area and keep a "comfortable distance" from where the VIPs were. He was quoted to have been reasoned out, "kasi nasisira ang event ko kapag nagkakagulo na ang mga entertainment press na 'yan sa mga guests."

HINT: The talent manager is now being branded "plastic" all over the place because he pretends to be nice and comfy with the writers when in truth "he looks down on the entertainment press while he happily social-climbs" with the rich and society figures. Talent manager has one popular ward, an "amnesiac" hunk actor who has a high-profile relationship with a controversial young actress.

PUZZLER: This very promising young actor better start listening to his managers who have been advising him to be more humble especially in his dealings with the production crew of the shows he is involved with. The source told us he is not a favorite anymore because of his high and mighty attitude. He's described as "feeling big star" and is "always expecting special treatment" from everyone. Sadly, even the press notice this about him. Their main complaint is that he "never remembers any of them."

HINT: The young actor is one of the more promising in his batch and has actually marked achievements already in his young career. He has figured in several controversies before, most notable of which was a fight with a popular actor in a bar.

We heard that the organizers behind the concert production of "Adam Lambert 10.10.10 Glam Nation Tour" are in some sort of a fix.

First is that they feel the pressure to defend the officials of the Pasay City Hall after they were sort of "accused of inequality" by another producer (of a local show featuring Ogie Alcasid and Ryan Cayabyab) regarding the issuance of permits. Second, the tickets to the Lambert show are not moving.

Blue Dream Entertainment, producers of the concert of "American Idol" Season 8 runner-up Adam Lambert, are doing everything they can to iron out those kinks. For one, they have issued public apologies to the officials of Pasay City Hall, especially to Mayor Antonio Calixto, for the undesirable allegations earlier attributed to them. And they also hired another publicist to supplement the publicity that they so badly need to drum up the show which happens on Sunday (Oct. 10) at the SM Mall of Asia Concert Grounds.

The allegations against the Pasay City officials stemmed from the complaints filed by another producer of a local show who claimed they were given the runaround when securing their permits, as opposed to the "special treatment" that Blue Dream supposedly got from the same people.

"The comments were false and unfairly attributed to our company without basis, including the P300,000 cash donation mentioned in the articles," said Blue Dream Entertainment's senior vice president and managing director, Christian Andoy.

"We have the highest esteem for the leaders who have welcomed and assisted us in having Pasay City as the venue of our concert," Andoy added. "It was unfair to claim that we were even given special treatment in Pasay even if the 'Adam Lambert 10.10.10 Glam Nation Tour' is our first venture in Pasay City. We apologize for the confusion."

It looks like the recent controversy which hounded young actress Bela Padilla as the subject of Marian Rivera's ire actually worked to her advantage.

We heard that wherever she goes now, the young Bea Alonzo look-alike is already being mobbed by fans who also excitedly request for her autograph and her picture with them.

Two weeks ago, we were told that Bela was at the Greenhills shopping complex in San Juan and her presence created so much chaos when people started mobbing her. The security guards had a hard time pacifying the crowd.

Last Sunday, Bela was a guest co-host at a charity event for teachers organized by PLDT's Gabay Guro Foundation at the SM Mall of Asia and there, too, the crowd of teachers and onlookers swarmed her for pictures and autographs.

Bela says even she is surprised at the reaction of the people when they see her. "Nakakatuwa naman po," she said.

She also would not comment when asked about the latest about her and Marian. She would just smile and say in her usual soft-spoken manner, "the network already did its part and we're okay with it. Let's just forget it happened."

Last we heard, Bela's next project, since "Endless Love" is nearing conclusion, will that be Richard Gutierrez's next soap, "Captain Barbell," where she will be one of the three lading ladies who will be a villain in the beginning of the story.

So, brand new mommy LJ Reyes is back in the country and she brought along her three-month-old baby boy with her, her son by another GMA artist, Paulo Avelino.

LJ and the baby traveled by themselves, according to our source, without any yaya or assistant. LJ gave birth in New York, where her mom is based.

It will be recalled that Paulo was not able to see the baby when it was born because his application for a US visa had been denied. This is the first time that father and son saw each other face to face.

LJ, according to our source, wants so much to go back to acting already. In fact, she is now asking for the projects promised to her before she left early this year.

During her television interview admitting that she was indeed pregnant by Paulo Avelino, GMA executive Wilma Galvante said, in the same segment, that the network will be behind the couple and that the shows will be waiting for her when she gets back after giving birth, or something to that effect.
